Slime On for Threadless

Hey guys, this is a shirt I designed and am most likely going to submit to Threadless. It is only up for critique now, but you can check it out here! Please check it out, rate it, and leave some comments! THANKS!

Monster Behind the Mask

This is a new piece I am thinking of using for the entrance of my updated website. Eventually it will have some sort of background, but they are hard for me, so I am showing it alone for now. Enjoy!

Children's Book - sketches

Among other things, I am working on illustrating a children's story that my Mom wrote awhile back. Until recent events made me go through somewhat of an identity crisis, I thought I was over children's books. Previous experiences left me hating the idea, but now I find myself intrigued again. Perhaps it's because I feel a little more confident in my drawing abilities, also because I know with this particular story I have total creative freedom. No art directors requiring me to finish 32 full color, full page spreads in 2 weeks.. and then nixing the project all together.

Anyway, I'm pretty excited about this project. I'm excited about drawing new material. I'm looking forward to busting out the watercolors again after putting them on the shelf for a good 2 years or so (give or take)

Here's is what I have so far. And as always, I'll keep you posted.

Wolfman

"Even a man who is pure in heart,
And says his prayers by night,
May become a wolf when the wolfsbane blooms,
And the autumn moon is bright."
-Gypsy Poem

I cannot express through words how much I love the Wolfman. One of the most tragic characters in horror history, and as far as I am concerned, Lon Chaney, Jr. presented the greatest werewolf of all time. I hope the upcoming remake will pay the homage it deserves. Anyway, here is my take (still in progress) of the famous Wolfman.

Beware the moon.

Dream illustrations

For the past several weeks, I've been having very elaborate and vivid dreams. Feeling a little hard up for ideas, I've decided to start illustrating these dreams, and ideally have the end result be a series of zines.

Here's the start for a dream I actually had a couple of months ago, but still remember really well. I'm going back to using photoshop to illustrate this particular dream, mainly because I'm lacking funds and space to use any other media.

I'm not sure if I want to illustrate all of the dreams this way, I don't think they necessarily all have to look the same, because none of the dreams look the same in my mind.. but I'm still deciding what/how I want to do this project.

I'll fill you in more on what this dream is about once I make a few more drawings. Until then,

sleep sweet.
